Sophrnia was the daughter of Luther Coolege, uncle of Calvin Coolege, president.
the Martin Family moved to California in 1860 from Chester, VT and settled in the old town of Grainland, now the town of Dayton.The blanket, used by my father (born 1849) and his brothers and sisters, was given to Mary by her uncle, who was born at the Old Banner Mine near Oroville in 1862.
